FROGGY'S WORLD

first day of kindergarten

This morning marked Jake's first day of kindergarten. Yesterday we got to see his classroom, and meet some of his classmates. Jake had no problem jumping up onto the bus; and his mother and father did OK too. After he pulled off, we retreated home to care for Eli (who's starting a new preschool today) and to utilize the "Parent Survival Kit" provided by his awesome teacher - Mrs. Colby. The kit has kisses, a nice note about how she'll care for him, Kleenex, and tea to calm our nerves.

jake's graduation

Jake had his "graduation" ceremony at First Years Preschool today. We were pleased to hear from his teacher that nobody was held back and all his classmates will be attending kindergarten next year. :-)

a day out with daddy

Jake and Daddy took a day out together, to check out the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium:

seattle boat show

Ben took Jake along with Mike and Jake Cyger to check out the Seattle Boat Show, over by the Ballard Locks. This was a handmade beautiful wood boat, that the two Jakes sat in for a bit.

a day with thomas

Jake and his buddy Carson went to ride on a real life-sized Thomas the Engine. Along the way, they got to meet Sir Topham Hat.

snowman

Bainbridge received a rare bit of snow. Jake and Daddy couldn't resist:

do you like waffles?

Jake has a new favorite song:

twanoh tree

We went for a drive today to Twanoh State Park near Belfair, WA. The salmon hadn't started swimming up the stream yet - just missed them by a week. But, Jake crawled inside a really cool set of tree roots. The foliage was crazy yellow!

cutest cow in town

Jake went as a cow for Halloween again this year. We all went to downtown Winslow to celebrate the festivities.

jake is a dancing machine

Jake has started dancing and it's adorable! We caught some recent footage of his sweet dance moves, alongside his pregnant Mama.
